The Development of World Civilization (5 units)

Course Description:

The making of the major societies and cultures of the world. A comparative consideration of various forms of human activity in major world areas before 1500: group and individual behavior, structures of belief, political forms, and economic patterns. This course fulfills the Reading and Composition requirement.

Course format:

Three hours of lecture and three hours of discussion per week.
